Disclosure: I was given my copy of this book by the author/publicist as a review copy.

This book kept me thinking “What if?” as I read it.

A man that might be crazy, a daughter that never existed, and strange behavior that police believe is caused by drugs. Joe Stanton and his girlfriend must unravel the mystery of the hallucinations before he dies from them, as others have before him.

This book made me think about the possibilities in the world today. As I read it, I found myself imagining what was happening in the story becoming reality. The line between fiction and reality is very thin at times, and can be crossed back and forth by the reader. I found this story bordered nicely on the edge. I was somewhat surprised at the ending, it was not quite what I had anticipated.

I think Kenneth Bennett writes to get the readers to question the world around them. His writing invokes the imagination and may provoke the reader to dig into the subject of the book. His story certainly has my mind thinking about the possibilities of intelligent non-human life on earth.

Science fiction readers are going to want to grab this book. So will those who enjoy reading about intelligent creatures other than the humans around them.
